36 Athletes to Represent Kazakhstan at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics

The 25th Winter Olympic Games will be held in Italy from February 6 to 22, 2026. Kazakhstan will be represented by a delegation of 36 athletes across multiple disciplines.

Based on the results of the 2025–2026 qualification season, Kazakhstan has secured Olympic quotas in the following sports:

  • Freestyle Moguls: 4 athletes
  • Freestyle Aerials: Dinmukhammed Raiymkulov, Sherzod Khashirbayev, Roman Ivanov, Asan Assylkhan, and Ayana Zholdas
  • Biathlon: 2 men and 2 women (specific participants to be finalized following the National Team Coaching Staff meeting)
  • Alpine Skiing: Rostislav Khokhlov and Alexandra Skorokhodova
  • Nordic Combined: 1 athlete
  • Cross-Country Skiing: 7 athletes
  • Ski Jumping: 2 athletes
  • Speed Skating: 5 athletes (Yevgeniy Koshkin, Kristina Silaeva, Yelizaveta Golubeva, Nadezhda Morozova, and Arina Ilyashenko)
  • Short Track Speed Skating: 4 athletes (Abzal Azhgaliyev, Denis Nikisha, Olga Tikhonova, and Yana Khan)
  • Figure Skating: Mikhail Shaidorov and Sofya Samodelkina

It is important to note that these figures reflect current qualifications. Additional quotas may be allocated by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) at a later date. The final confirmation of Olympic licenses and the complete team roster will be announced in late January.

The 25th Winter Olympic Games, hosted by the cities of Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, are expected to feature over 3,500 athletes representing 93 nations.
