Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Madi Takiyev, held a meeting with the new Regional Director of the World Bank for Central Asia, Nadji Benhassine, who succeeded Tatiana Proskuryakova in this position.

The meeting was also attended by Andrei Mikhnev, Permanent Representative of the World Bank in Kazakhstan; Zafar Hashimov, Country Manager of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for Kazakhstan; and Yanina Yermakova, Senior Operations Officer.

Madi Takiyev congratulated Nadji Benhassine on his appointment and emphasised the importance of further strengthening cooperation with the World Bank. During the discussions, the parties reviewed key priorities for joint work.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their mutual commitment to maintaining a constructive dialogue and implementing joint projects aimed at promoting the sustainable development of Kazakhstan.
