Branch of India’s Leading Forensic Science and IT Forensics University to Open in Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, is working to establish a branch of the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) of Gandhinagar, India, based at the Academy of Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

A trilateral meeting took place at the Academy with the participation of Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Aidar Saitbekov, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs; and Shri Jadeja, Executive Registrar of the National Forensic Sciences University of India. During the meeting, the parties discussed the establishment of an NFSU branch in Kazakhstan to train qualified professionals for the country’s law enforcement agencies in the fields of cybersecurity, digital forensics, forensic science, and applied criminal investigations.

Following the discussions, an agreement was signed to open the NFSU branch at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and to launch joint double-degree programs.

Under the agreements reached, the parties will place special emphasis on personnel training and the development of joint scientific and legal research aimed at strengthening Kazakhstan’s position as an academic hub in Central Asia.
