A meeting of the parliamentary group "Bir el - bir mudde" was held in Astana, dedicated to issues of state support for ethnojournalism and Kazakh-language media abroad. The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Deputies of the Senate and Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of ethnic media and the Otandastar Foundation took part in the discussion.

The speakers noted the importance of ethnojournalism as a tool for the formation of civic values ​​and strengthening national unity. They also discussed ways to promote ethnopolitics through the media, support for Kazakh-language media abroad, as well as measures to ensure interethnic harmony.

Special attention was paid to the issues of preventing risks to interethnic stability, countering "hate speech" in social networks and preventing discrimination on ethnic and linguistic grounds.
