The Foliant Publishing House donated 1,000 books to the National Academic Library. Representatives of the intelligentsia, writers, literary figures and readers took part in the ceremony. According to the Director of the National Academic Library, Gaziza Kudaibergenkovina, this award is a great contribution to the development of the reading culture of readers and the replenishment of the library collection.

“Our main goal is to provide readers with quality literature. A book is not only a source of spiritual wealth, but also an important tool for educating the younger generation. By making such a gift to the National Academic Library, we want to contribute to expanding the horizons of our readers. Before this, we donated 1,000 books to the National Library of Almaty,” said Nurlan Isabekov, Director of the Foliant Publishing House.

He noted that among the books donated to the library are works by classic Kazakh writers, world literature, modern literature, children's literature and scientific works. Such a good initiative of the Foliant publishing house will undoubtedly contribute to the spiritual enrichment of society.

During the event, the famous publisher, director of the Foliant publishing house Nurlan Isabekov was awarded one of the most prestigious awards of the Kingdom of Spain - the Order of Isabella the Catholic. This award, first established in 1815, is presented to individuals who have distinguished themselves by outstanding work in the development of international cooperation in the field of culture, art and science.

Nurlan Isabekov was recognized as worthy of this award for his special work in promoting Kazakh and world literature, as well as in the development of cultural dialogue.The Foliant Publishing House has been translating the best works of world literature into Kazakh for almost 30 years and offering quality books to the domestic reader. At the same time, the publishing house has made a significant contribution to familiarizing Kazakh society with Spanish literature and culture, and has become a golden bridge of literary and cultural dialogue between the two countries.

“It is a great honor and privilege for me to present the Order of Isabella the Catholic to Mr. Nurlan Isabekov on behalf of the King of Spain. This is one of the highest awards in Spain, presented to the head of the Foliant Publishing House Nurlan Sarsenbyul for his special work in popularizing Spanish literature and culture through the translation of Spanish literature,” said the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Kazakhstan Luis Francisco Martinez.

“This award is not my personal achievement, but the result of the work of the entire team. “To introduce the Kazakh people to world literature and culture, to reveal Kazakh literature and culture to everyone is one of our main tasks,” Nurlan Isabekov noted.

During the ceremony, famous writers and literary critics such as Abay Tynibekov, Oten Akhmet, Tolen Abdik noted that the Foliant publishing house occupies a special place in the sphere of literature and education in our country. This award by Nurlan Isabekov contributes to further strengthening of cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Spain and enhances the reputation of Kazakh culture at the international level.
