With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the “BIRLIK” ensemble of the Rosa Baglanova State Concert Organization “Kazakhconcert” gave a performance in Paris.
The country’s first multinational song and dance ensemble “BIRLIK” introduced the Parisian audience to the rich cultural heritage of Kazakhstan. The concert program featured the finest examples of Kazakh dance art, including the famous dance “Aqqu” (“Swan”), choreographed to the legendary kui by Nurgisa Tlendiyev.
The ensemble also presented dances of Uzbek, Tajik, Korean, Turkmen, Tatar, and Indian peoples, showcasing the grace of movements, vivid colors, and unique national character of each culture. The concert became a true celebration of art, symbolizing the spiritual unity and mutual enrichment of the cultures of fraternal nations.
In addition, Anel Marabayeva, Artistic Director of the “BIRLIK” ensemble and laureate of international competitions, together with the renowned kobyz player and leader of the ethno-jazz group “The Magic of Nomads” Gaziza Gabdrakhimova, conducted a master class.
