Days of Culture of Kazakhstan to Be Held in Russia

From October 10 to 13, 2025, Moscow will host the Days of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation.

The events, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Russia, are aimed at strengthening cooperation and fostering the development of bilateral relations.

From October 10 to November 23, the New Tretyakov Gallery will present the exhibition Masterpieces of Kazakh Art. Russian art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to view 43 works by Kazakh sculptors and painters from the collection of the Abylkhan Kasteev State Museum of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The exhibition will be complemented by 17 paintings and 11 sculptures from the collection of the State Tretyakov Gallery.

In parallel, as part of the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in Russia, a series of screenings titled Days of Kazakh Cinema will take place. On October 10, Moscow’s “Poklonka” cinema will feature the military action film Time of Patriots directed by S. Utepbergenov, as well as B. Shekerov’s The Summer of 1941.

On October 11, the same cinema will host a screening of Stop, Night directed by F. Sharipov, followed in the evening by A. Sakhaman’s Dos-Mukasan.
On October 12, young Moscow audiences will be treated to the animated film Golden Man, which tells the sacred story, way of life, culture, and military art of the ancient Saka — ancestors of the modern Kazakhs. The screenings will continue in the evening with T. Dulatov’s 90+1.

Russian theater enthusiasts will also find much to enjoy: on October 13, the Maly Theatre will host a performance of The Battle of Conscience, a psychological drama exploring the inner world and moral values of humankind. The play is based on the works of classic Kazakh writer Tolen Abdikov and will be performed by the troupe of the K. Kuanyshbayev Kazakh State Academic Musical Drama Theatre.

The central event of the Days of Culture will be the Gala Concert of Kazakh Artists, to be held on November 12 at the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre. The gala will take place within the framework of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the Russian Federation.

The Days of Culture will bring together representatives of the intellectual community of Russia and Kazakhstan, scholars, writers, members of the diplomatic corps and creative unions, as well as representatives of the Kazakh diaspora.
