From October 6 to 15, 2025, the first stage of the International “Volunteer of the Year” Award — online voting for the nominees — is taking place on the unified platform Qazvolunteer.kz. Following the technical selection process, 174 candidates have been admitted to participate.

The Award was established on the initiative of the Head of State and aims to recognise the contribution of volunteers who implement socially significant initiatives, promote a culture of volunteerism, and strengthen the values of civic responsibility, mutual assistance, and solidarity. Over the five years of its existence, the Award has honoured 247 volunteers from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Russia.

In 2025, the Award will be presented in 15 categories covering a wide range of volunteer activities — from social projects and educational initiatives to animal welfare and environmental protection.

Everyone is invited to participate in the voting and support volunteers who contribute daily to the development of society through selfless work, initiative, and civic engagement.

The International “Volunteer of the Year” Award serves as an important platform for promoting best practices and recognizing leaders of the volunteer movement not only in Kazakhstan but also across the broader region.
