An extended staff meeting chaired by the Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerbol Myrzabasynov was held in the capital. The event was attended by heads and representatives of subordinate organizations of the Ministry, as well as regional departments of physical culture and sports to summarize the results of 2024.

At the meeting, heads and representatives of regional departments of sports presented reports on the development of sports infrastructure, physical culture and sports in their regions, as well as the involvement of young people in sports. The current state of sports in the regions, accumulated problems and proposed ways to solve them were openly discussed.

The Minister emphasized the importance of sports in the life of society, its impact on the health and quality of life of people. He noted the need for open discussion of specific measures aimed at overcoming obstacles in the development of the sports industry.

The meeting also touched upon the development of sports infrastructure, including increasing the number of sports grounds in rural areas, as well as the construction of new sports facilities using the mechanism of public-private partnership. In addition, proposals were made to train specialists in the sports sector, improve their qualifications and strengthen measures to support athletes.

Yerbol Myrzabosynov discussed in detail the state of sports in the regions and outlined specific steps for its further development. The Minister stressed the need to implement state programs, coordinate the work of regional departments and increase the number of sports events at the local level to achieve high results in the sports industry.
