On August 22, 2025, in Bishkek, within the framework of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the Kyrgyz Republic, the Presidential Television and Radio Complex and the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Corporation of Kyrgyzstan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Understanding, reports Kazinform’s special correspondent.
The signing ceremony took place at the “Yntymak Ordo” residence in the presence of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov. The document was signed by Director of the Presidential Television and Radio Complex Raushan Kazhibayeva and Director General of the National TV and Radio Corporation of the Kyrgyz Republic Bolotbek Tillebaev.
The agreement provides for a broad range of cooperation areas, including the exchange of media content and expertise, as well as the creation of joint creative projects between the two media holdings. An important component of the cooperation will be the development of partnership with the Silk Way TV channel, which is part of the Presidential Television and Radio Complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The channel already broadcasts content provided by media organizations of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
It should be recalled that the visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan began with a visit to the Ata-Beyit historical and memorial complex. As part of the program, the heads of state held narrow-format talks and took part in the seventh meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council.
