Kazakhstan Participates in the South China Book Fair

Guangzhou, August 15, 2025 – The opening ceremony of the Central Asian Pavilion took place on the sidelines of the South China Book Fair 2025 in Guangzhou.

From Kazakhstan, the event was attended by Rollan Kuspan, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Archives, Documentation and Book Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Valikhan Sarsembekov, Consul General of Kazakhstan in Guangzhou.

With the support and organization of the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in China, and Beijing Glize Cultural Media Co., Ltd., the National Pavilion of Kazakhstan was presented at the fair. The stand showcased publications from leading Kazakhstani publishing houses, translations of Chinese literary works into Kazakh, translations of Kazakh authors into Chinese, as well as informational materials on Kazakhstan’s trade, economic, and tourism potential. The exhibition generated considerable interest among the Chinese audience.

Special attention was given to the presentation of new publications – “Абай жолы кейіпкерлері және Абай” and “Abai. Poems and Epics” – aimed at promoting the legacy of the great poet to a wider readership. The event was also attended by representatives of the leadership of the Propaganda Department of Guangdong Province.

The South China Book Fair runs from August 15 to 19, 2025, with the participation of publishing houses and cultural organizations from Vietnam, Germany, Egypt, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, Poland, Singapore, Thailand, France, and Uzbekistan.
