The most prestigious international subject-based school Olympiads — IChO, IMO, IPhO, IBO, IGeO, IOL, and IOI — have concluded. Today, in Sucre, Bolivia, the 2025 International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI-2025) came to an end, reports Ulysmedia.kz.
Following two rounds of competition, the national team of Kazakhstan delivered an impressive performance, securing three silver and one bronze medal.
Silver Medals:
Maksim Tsoy — Grade 11 student at the Republican Physics and Mathematics School in Almaty;
Mansur Mamadakhunov — Grade 10 student at “Bilim-Innovation” Lyceum in Kyzylorda Region;
Akzhan Askar — Grade 11 student at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Semey;
Bronze Medal:
Dauzhan Beketov — Grade 9 student at Specialized Lyceum No. 165 in Almaty.
It is worth noting that the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) was first held in 1989 in Bulgaria. The national team of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been participating in this prestigious competition on a regular basis since 1998. Over this period, Kazakh school students have won a total of 75 medals.
