Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Murat Nurtleu, arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic on an official visit at the invitation of the Kyrgyz side, reports a Kazinform correspondent.
According to the press service of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, during the visit, a meeting took place in Cholpon-Ata between Murat Nurtleu and the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov. The parties discussed current issues of Kazakh-Kyrgyz bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, including the implementation of priority projects between the two countries, such as the construction of the Kambarata Hydropower Plant-1.
Murat Nurtleu conveyed greetings and best wishes from the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to Sadyr Japarov. He also reaffirmed his commitment to making every effort to achieve the goals set by the heads of state.
President Japarov highlighted the dynamic deepening of political dialogue at all levels, which contributes to the consistent expansion of interstate relations and enhances their practical dimension. He expressed confidence that the official visit of Kazakhstan’s top diplomat would serve as an important impetus for further strengthening fraternal relations, particularly in the context of preparations for the upcoming official visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan.
Earlier, it was reported that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is scheduled to visit Kyrgyzstan later this year.
