Today, under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Maulen Ashimbayev, a session of the Chamber was held, during which senators ratified an international agreement and presented their parliamentary inquiries.
During the session, senators reviewed and approved the Law on the Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the Regulation of the International Industrial Cooperation Center "Central Asia." The center is located in border areas, with each part operating under the jurisdiction of its respective state.
"The approved law establishes the legal framework for a new industrial cooperation center between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. It defines the status of the International Industrial Cooperation Center 'Central Asia,' its areas of activity, and its competencies. We hope that this law will contribute to strengthening business ties and trade and economic relations between our two brotherly nations," the Speaker of the Chamber stated in his address.
At the same time, as noted by deputies, the center's activities are aimed at creating favorable conditions for integrating small and medium-sized industrial enterprises of both countries into the international value chain. Additionally, the center will focus on enhancing the efficiency of industrial infrastructure in border areas, optimizing production processes, improving the competitiveness of enterprises established within the center, and fostering the development of innovative and high-tech industries.
