In the first half of 2025, the music sector in Kazakhstan continued to grow actively. National concert organizations held 279 events, attracting approximately 300,000 spectators.
State concert groups successfully represent the country both domestically and internationally. Over the past six months, 12 tours were conducted across Kazakhstan, and 7 took place abroad. In particular, the State Academic Concert Organization "Qazaqconcert" named after Roza Baglanova performed in Bulgaria, the UAE, Azerbaijan, and the United Kingdom. Tours are planned for Canada, France, China, Turkey, and other countries by the end of the year.
A significant focus in 2025 is placed on anniversary celebrations. In honor of the 100th anniversary of People's Artist of Kazakhstan Nurgisa Tlendiev, competitions, concerts, and a tour performance in Beijing were held. A grand opening of the year dedicated to the centenary of the birth of the outstanding composer took place in Ankara as part of the TURKSOY organization. Additionally, anniversary celebrations were organized in honor of Shamshi Kaldayakov, Evgeny Brusilovsky, the Zhambyl Philharmonic, and the dance ensemble "Saltanat."
In 2025, the State Dance Ensemble "Saltanat" undertook work to create concert costumes. A total of 56 costumes were made, including 32 women’s and 24 men’s outfits. Furthermore, stage costumes were created for soloists and creative groups as part of the concert programs for the 24th Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Heads of State, as well as the opening ceremony of the World Nomad Games. New costumes were provided to the folklore-ethnographic ensemble "Sazgen Sazy" (32 items), and 33 costumes made under the CSTO project were handed over to the dance troupe "Birlik."
Over the last two years, stage costumes have been created for the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic, the Kazakh National Orchestra of Folk Instruments named after Kurmangazy, the song and dance ensemble "Birlik," and the State Academic Concert Organization "Qazaqconcert" named after Roza Baglanova.
Kazakh artists are achieving success abroad. An artist from the "GULDER" ensemble won two gold medals in Latvia, soloist Didar Abdukhalyk took first place at a competition in Bulgaria, and Aigerim Altynbek entered La Scala Academy, performing with Andrea Bocelli and José Carreras. Maria Mudryak made her debut in "The Marriage of Figaro" in China.
At the same time, national television channels continue to broadcast television versions of concerts dedicated to the works of Kazakh composers — Eskendir Khassanaliyev, Nurgisa Tlendiev, Kenes Duysekayev, as well as the musical heritage of Kazakh cinema.
The Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan will continue to support the development of domestic musical arts and their promotion on the international stage.
