Cholpon-Ata, June 29, 2025 – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Muratt Nurtleu held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov on the eve of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Cholpon-Ata.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Kazakh-Russian cooperation in the political and economic spheres, as well as in transit, transport, and energy sectors. They also addressed the countries’ interaction within international organizations and regional integration associations.
The ministers exchanged views on pressing regional and international issues and coordinated the schedule of upcoming bilateral events at the high and highest levels.
