Kazakh opera singer Maria Mudryak will make her debut as Countess Almaviva in a production of W.A. Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro in China.
The performances will take place on July 15, 17, and 19 at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, and from August 8 to 10 at the Grand Opera House in Xi’an.
This marks Maria Mudryak’s fifth tour in China. While she previously performed the role of Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, this year she will appear for the first time as Countess Almaviva—a character whose profound and often conflicting emotions add notable dramatic depth and emotional intensity to the opera.
Maria Mudryak was born in Kazakhstan and demonstrated exceptional vocal talent from an early age. At the age of 10, she began vocal training in Italy, where she launched her career in the children's choir of La Scala Theatre. She later graduated from the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan and now performs on leading opera stages around the world. She is ranked among the world’s top ten sopranos.
The upcoming tour in China represents another milestone in the singer’s distinguished international career and offers audiences an opportunity to experience her remarkable voice and dramatic artistry once again.
