The Netherlands Embassy in Astana hosted a meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, FAO, NANOC, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the Netherlands, Kazakh Invest and the Embassy of the Netherlands.

The participants discussed key areas for strengthening cooperation in agriculture and sustainable development. Special attention was paid to joint initiatives of FAO and the Netherlands-Kazakhstan Working Group on Integration of Climate and Agriculture Agenda.

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented its priorities in sustainable food production, and the Dutch side shared its experience in developing food systems considering climate change.

One of the key topics was a discussion on preparations for the third meeting of the Netherlands-Kazakhstan Working Group, which will be held during the Grow Expo 2025 international exhibition in Astana in April. During this event, FAO will participate in a roundtable with Kazakh and Dutch stakeholders, creating a unique platform for sharing experiences and promoting innovative agricultural solutions.

The meeting emphasised the importance of international cooperation for a sustainable future and strengthened bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands.
