From March 28 to 30, Almaty will host AlmatyFair.ai, the largest exhibition in the field of artificial intelligence, bringing together leading IT companies, startups, and AI experts. This is a unique opportunity for businesses, developers, and anyone interested to explore the latest achievements in AI and its practical applications.

AlmatyFair.ai will showcase how AI is already transforming industries such as manufacturing, finance, public administration, healthcare, and education. Visitors will experience cutting-edge solutions in areas such as GovTech, BigTech, and Smart City, and will have access to specialized zones dedicated to IT companies, industrial innovations, educational initiatives, and a startup alley.

“At the Kurultai, the President emphasized that AI is an effective tool for improving the efficiency of government processes, reducing bureaucracy, and enhancing transparency in tax and customs administration and public procurement. However, to achieve this, we must not merely rely on foreign technologies — we need to develop our own. We are creating the necessary conditions and infrastructure to foster AI development in our country. Events like this one help attract new technologies and promote international knowledge exchange,” said Minister Zhaslan Madiev.

A key highlight of the exhibition will be the presentation of alem.ai, an international artificial intelligence center launched on the initiative of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. alem.ai is expected to increase Kazakhstan’s export of AI solutions to $5 billion by 2029 and create new opportunities for businesses and talents. The center will support training for thousands of AI professionals, the launch of startups, and the implementation of scientific research in AI.

To build human capital and train a skilled workforce, Kazakhstan plans to educate 1 million people over the next five years. As part of this initiative, Astana Hub launched Tomorrow School in October 2024 — the first AI-focused school in the region — to train future AI specialists. During the exhibition, strategic memorandums will also be signed, including an agreement with TUMO Ventures to establish the first TUMO Center for Creative Technologies in Central Asia. Part of the global TUMO network, the center will enable schoolchildren to acquire advanced digital skills and play a key role in developing tech education in the country.

Central Asian Innovation Hubs, an alliance of the largest tech parks in the region, will also be featured at AlmatyFair.ai. In 2024, Astana Hub and IT Park Uzbekistan joined forces under this brand to develop the startup ecosystem and promote regional innovation on the global stage. Their joint participation brought 39 startups from both countries to international events such as the INMerge Innovation Summit, Web Summit 2024, and TechCrunch Disrupt 2024, strengthening regional identity and unlocking new opportunities for promoting innovation worldwide.

The exhibition will also host the AI Startup Showdown, a pitch battle for promising AI startups competing for a prize fund. Panel discussions will address topics such as the impact of technology on skills development, challenges of the digital age, the transformation of professions in the era of AI, and new opportunities for women in tech. Key themes will include the national AI strategy (GenNation), public sector innovation (GovTech Accelerator), and AI & Smart City concepts.

The business section of the exhibition will focus on AI implementation, venture investments, global expansion through innovation hubs, and the future of digital nomads.
