- By the order of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the regional quota for the admission of kandas and migrants for the year 2024 has been set at 9,483 individuals, which is 554 more than the previous year.

- The purpose of issuing this order is to optimally distribute kandas and migrants in regions defined by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2024, the regional quota is allocated as follows:
- – For kandas: Pavlodar region – 902 individuals, Kostanay region – 550 individuals, Akmola region – 285 individuals, East Kazakhstan region – 269 individuals, North Kazakhstan region – 207 individuals, Abai region – 220 individuals.
- – For migrants: North Kazakhstan region – 2,702 individuals, Pavlodar region – 2,603 individuals, Kostanay region – 950 individuals, East Kazakhstan region – 372 individuals, Abai region – 255 individuals, Ulytau region – 132 individuals, Karaganda region – 36 individuals.

- Individuals included in the regional quota for repatriates and migrants will receive government support measures, including:
- – Relocation subsidies: a one-time payment of 70 times the Monthly Calculation Index (MCI) per family member.
- – Subsidies for covering rental housing expenses and utility payments, ranging from 15 to 30 times the MCI per family on a monthly basis.
- – Subsidies for employers assisting in resettlement, amounting to 400 times the MCI.
- – Placement in short-term vocational training programs.
- – Assistance in employment or entrepreneurial development initiatives.
- – Issuance of economic mobility certificates for housing acquisition.

- It is worth noting that from 1991 to January 1, 2024, a total of 1,128,370 ethnic Kazakhs have returned to their historical homeland. In 2023 alone, 21,300 ethnic Kazakhs returned to and obtained repatriate status in their historical homeland.
