The Otandastar Foundation has opened online classes with the Kazakh language of instruction in two districts of the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation. The official opening of technically functioning classes will take place in honor of Independence Day with the participation of the Consul General.

The municipal government educational institution "Semibugorenskaya Secondary School named after Nikita Iskakov" has allocated a personal office for the Kazakh language. In this office you can get acquainted with the Kazakh national culture, art, literature, and household items. School director Rimma Ibragimova thanked the foundation and the World Association of Kazakhs for caring about compatriots.

The second online class will open in the village of Kalinina, Volodarsky district. According to the director of the Kalinin secondary school named after academician Erezhep Mambetkaziev Arman Nurliev, the Kazakh language classroom will be equipped with the most modern equipment donated by the Foundation.

In the Astrakhan region, according to official data, most of the 160 thousand ethnic Kazakhs live in rural areas. For example, 99.9% of the residents of the village of Kalinina are Kazakhs. They use every opportunity to preserve national traditions. The foundation’s opening of a Kazakh language classroom in this rural school brings our compatriots closer than ever to their historical homeland.
