On August 29, 2023, the Kazmedia Center hosted a meeting of the President of the National Sports Association Salzhanov Islambek Tolebaevich, the Club of Chief Editors - President Zheksenbai Bibigul Nurgalievna and Chairman of the National Media Association Oishybayev Kemelbek Baktygulovich with media managers and journalists.

The meeting was also attended by the heads of the media of Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Russia, Turkey, the Association of Kazakh-language Media Abroad, established under the Otandastar Foundation.

During the meeting, the results of the association's work for the year, topical issues of national sports and plans for the future were discussed. The National Sports Association also announced the media contest "ALAMAN" on the eve of the V World Nomad Games.

Representatives of Kazakh-language media abroad were able to take part in this competition, along with domestic media.*

The speaker highlighted the V World Nomad Games, which will be held in Kazakhstan in 2024.

"As a country that has discovered nomadic steppe customs, we must hold stormy competitions at a high level. This issue is under the direct control of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Nomad games develop from year to year, spreading their wings. Thus, 583 athletes from 19 countries took part in the competition in 2014. 3,000 athletes from 102 countries took part in the 2022 Games in Turkey. It is planned that next year the event will be attended by more than 3,000 athletes from more than 100 countries, about 15 thousand foreign tourists," Islambek Salzhanov said.

By organizing this competition, the Kazakh country will have a great opportunity to popularize its culture and history, spirituality and crafts, traditions and national identity all over the world.

Earlier, the National Sports Association of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Otandastar Foundation signed a memorandum of cooperation. The goal was to popularize the national sport and carry out large-scale propaganda among our Kandas living abroad. As a result, special free courses on national sports began to be held in the USA, Russia, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia.

In addition, since this year, the Otandastar Foundation has organized competitions in national sports with special prizes as part of events held abroad.
