A monument to Turkish-Kazakh brotherhood» was unveiled in Istanbul

On November 26, 2022 a monument to "Kazakh-Turkish brotherhood" was unveiled in the city of Istanbul, Bagzil district. This monument, erected on the eve of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Kazakhs who migrated from Altai to Anadoly, is a hallmark of the kindred, friendly relations between the two countries.

The event was solemnly opened by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkey Yerkebulan Sapiyev. Mr. Abdulla Ozdemir, Mayor of Baghilar district, expressed his gratitude and congratulated the Kazakh nation living in Turkey. Then Murat Bakhtiyaruly the deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the member of committee on the international relations, defence and security who has told about great history of the Kazakh nation and has told about brotherhood of the Turkish people. Chairman of the Kazakh youth organization "Birlik" Aslan Serik performed a Kazakh song "Kazak osy" and caused a response from the audience.
In turn, the president of "Otandastar Fund" Abzal Saparbekuly stopped on a parity of Kazakhstan and Turkey, having noticed that the strong unity is a symbol of brotherhood and friendship. In addition, the akim of Bagzhilar district was given a shapan and a special gift.

The author of the monument "Honored Worker of Kazakhstan," the first vice-president of the Academy of Arts of Kazakhstan, a famous artist, director, television journalist - Mr. Zhanuzak Musapir presented the history of the monument.

After the opening ceremony of the monument, there was an exhibition of Kazakh universities' knowledge and photos on the theme "K'Èteli K'Èteli" dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Kazakh nomadic movement.
