On October 29, 2020, the Otandastar Foundation, together with the World Association of Kazakhs, with the support of the Ministries of Information and Social Development, Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in an online format, a grand opening of the Kazakh cultural and business house "Abay" was held in Istanbul (Turkey).
The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Interethnic Relations of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erkin Uisimbayev, Counselor of the Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bauyrzhan Tokkulov, Vice President of the Otandastar Foundation Magauiya Sarbasov, Chairman of the Kazakh Cultural Center in Uzbekistan Serikbay Usenov , Counselor of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan Ruslan Duisenov, as well as representatives of the Kazakh community in Uzbekistan, etc.
Within the framework of the event, a presentation of the cultural and business house "Abay" took place, where the issues of implementing joint projects aimed at supporting the cultural, business and educational activities of the Kazakh community in Turkey were discussed.
The Otandastar Foundation continues to open a network of cultural and business houses "Abai" abroad. Previously, such KDD "Abai" were opened in Omsk (Russia) and Tashkent (Uzbekistan). By the end of 2020, it is planned to open two more cultural and business houses "Abai" in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) and Berlin (Germany).
