On September 25, 2020, Otandastar Foundation, together with the World Association of Kazakhs and the Kazinform International Information Agency, held an online presentation of the El.kz portal and an online meeting with the leaders of Kazakh cultural centers abroad.

The event was attended by Vice Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Azilkhanov, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Board of MIA Kazinform Askar Omarov, Vice President of NJSC Otandastar Fund Magauiya Sarbasov, as well as heads of Kazakh cultural and business houses " Abai Uii ”from 5 countries.

Within the framework of the event, in order to provide access to the necessary information, form a dialogue platform, establish close contact with the historical homeland for ethnic Kazakhs abroad in an online format, a presentation of the information and educational portal "El.kz" took place.

This project of NJSC “Otandastar Foundation”, implemented on the platform of the information and educational portal “El.kz”, makes it possible to make a virtual trip to Kazakhstan for our compatriots living abroad and who want to learn as much as possible about their historical homeland. The portal contains information on culture, history, education, labor market in Kazakhstan.

During the online meeting, the participants also discussed measures to support compatriots abroad. Heads of cultural and business houses "Abai Uii" from 5 countries (Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Germany) shared their views on the prospects for learning the Kazakh language, cultural and educational projects of Kazakh communities abroad, implementation of joint projects to assist compatriots.
