"Otandastar Foundation" started a special project "Tanys bolynyz" about our compatriots who are scattered all over the world, and then moved to Kazakhstan with a longing for atazhurt. Meet as a continuation of this project, the journalist Meruesh Bashai.
Meruesh Bashai was born in the Bayan region of Mongolia. Director of the Mongolian State University of Arts and Culture, graduated from Karaganda State University, Faculty of Management and Economics. He is a cultural figure in Kazakhstan and Mongolia. Mother of many children, silver medalist.
Bashai Meruesh graduated from the College of Teachers and Cultural Workers in 1990-1993 and began his career in 1993 at the Kazakh Music and Drama Theater in Bayan-Ulk. Has been working in the field of culture for 27 years. He is also very active in the public sphere. In particular, this contributes to the acquisition of citizenship by compatriots and their adaptation in the new environment.
In 2020, he was awarded a Letter of Gratitude from the first President of Kazakhstan - President Nursultan Nazarbayev. He has staged more than a hundred songs of Kazakh folk composers, which are still unknown. They are recorded in the Kazakh orchestra, perform in all regions of the country and are promoted among the people.
Since 1991, Meruert Bashai has supported those who immigrated to their historical homeland in order to obtain citizenship, resolve difficult issues with the competent authorities and help their compatriots obtain Kazakh citizenship.
