President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev declared July 13 a day of national mourning for the victims of coronavirus infection. The head of state stated this during his televised address to the people.

The President stressed that the country is going through a difficult moment, but urged Kazakhstanis not to panic, not to buy medicines for the future and strictly observe all sanitary precautions. According to the President, only United Kazakhstanis can overcome the coronavirus crisis.

"I have decided to declare July 13 a day of mourning for the people of Kazakhstan who have become victims of the pandemic. I am sure that every one of us, wherever we are on this day, will honor the memory of those who have passed away, " the President of the country said.

He called on the people of Kazakhstan to show resilience, calmness and responsibility before the trials that have befallen the people of Kazakhstan.

In turn, the Otandastar Foundation expresses its deep condolences to the families of those killed by Covid-19.
