Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balaeva spoke about measures to support compatriots abroad.

“Supporting compatriots has always been the main vector of state policy, a priority. There are people who have returned to their homeland. To this end, systematic work is being carried out. In 2018, the Otandastar Foundation was established. The Foundation is now actively working, large funds have been allocated for its activities, ”said Aida Balaeva, answering journalists' questions during the plenary session of the Senate.

The Minister noted that over the past year and a half, more than 3 thousand events have been held for our compatriots.

“Children's camps were organized, as well as courses for the study of the Kazakh language, adapted for our compatriots. Methodical manuals have been developed. In 23 cities of the world, 31 online classes for learning the Kazakh language have been opened. Cooperation has been established with Kazakh centers abroad. Now work is underway to create Kazakh cultural houses abroad. This work will be systematically continued, ”added the head of the IIOR RK.

In addition, Aida Balaeva recalled the developed program to support compatriots abroad for 2021-2025.
