Senators have reviewed and adopted the law on the ratification of the agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and Mongolia on cooperation in the field of pensions, reports the correspondent of Aqshamnews.kz.

The document is aimed at protecting the pension rights of the citizens of the two countries. In particular, it provides for the formation of legal mechanisms clarifying the procedure for calculating the length of service, as well as the appointment and implementation of pension payments.

It was previously stated that an important innovation of the agreement is the possibility for Kandases from Mongolia to transfer their savings from the pension fund to Kazakhstan. This document was signed on October 29, 2024, in Ulaanbaatar, and was later ratified by the Mazhilis.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in 2025, 43,352 citizens of Mongolia entered Kazakhstan, and 43,001 people left the country. In 2024, 44,240 citizens entered, and 40,916 people left.

Currently, 6,755 citizens of Mongolia permanently reside in Kazakhstan, of whom 6,236 are compatriots. In 2025, 979 people received permanent residence permits. Also, 752 citizens of Mongolia obtained citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 744 of whom are compatriot.
