Resettlers in Kazakhstan Receive Support for Housing and Employment

As part of the support for resettlers and Kandas (ethnic Kazakh repatriates), 471 families were issued housing certificates worth 4.5 million tenge, reports otpannews.kz citing Kazinform.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced that support measures aimed at relocation and adaptation cover several areas.

— Lump-sum payments for relocation, compensation for housing rental and utility costs, subsidies for employers, short-term vocational training, and the provision of economic mobility certificates are provided for resettlers and Kandas, — stated the ministry's official response.

The issue of employment for relocated citizens is also being successfully resolved.

The number of working-age citizens is 2,982. There are 1,756 self-employed individuals. Additionally, 45 people are engaged in entrepreneurial activities, and 31 people have received state grants.

According to the ministry, as part of state support during relocation, a lump-sum allowance of 70 Monthly Calculation Indices (MCI) is paid to each family member. Also, to compensate for housing rental and utility costs, a family receives monthly payments ranging from 15 to 30 MCI for 12 months. Furthermore, employers who assist in the relocation are provided with a subsidy of 400 MCI.

Resettlers are also sent for short-term vocational training. Support is provided in finding employment or starting a business, including through the issuance of economic mobility certificates.
