“Otandastar qory” highlights the significance of Ualikhanov’s legacy at the round table in Moscow

On September 10, 2025, the “Otandastar qory” took part in the round table “Shoqan Ualikhanov: The Shared Heritage of Kazakhstan and Russia,” held at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation in Moscow. The event brought together representatives of state bodies, members of parliament, diplomats, and scholars, according to the press service of the MFA of Kazakhstan.

Opening the session, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia Daulet Abayev emphasized that although Shoqan Ualikhanov’s life was short, he left behind a legacy so vast that it would take several lifetimes to achieve.

President of the “Otandastar qory” Daniyar Kadyrov underlined that Ualikhanov stands as a vivid example of friendship between the peoples of Kazakhstan and Russia: his legacy remains highly relevant, while his scientific ideas and humanistic outlook continue to foster cultural rapprochement and mutual understanding among the peoples of Eurasia.

Participants of the round table noted that Shoqan Ualikhanov represents a common heritage of Kazakhstan and Russia, a symbol of friendship and cooperation between the two nations. They stressed that the life and work of the distinguished Kazakh scholar deserve comprehensive and in-depth research. In this regard, Kazakh and Russian academics expressed readiness to enhance cooperation and open new pages in the study of his scientific legacy. The meeting was seen as an important step towards this goal.
