On September 5, 2025, a meeting with participants of the international “Myqty аiel” forum — Kazakh women from abroad — was held at the “Otandastar qory” in Astana. The event brought together active and accomplished compatriots from Spain, Turkey, the Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, and Malaysia.
President of the “Otandastar qory”, Daniyar Ramazanuly, warmly welcomed the foreign delegation, wished them success and new achievements in their endeavors, and expressed confidence in the fruitful outcome of the upcoming forum.
During the meeting, the guests shared their experience in preserving Kazakh identity abroad, promoting national culture, and spoke about their professional achievements across various fields.
Umіt Davranova, chair of the “Moldir Umit” association in Spain, presented details about the preparation of the “Myqty аiel” forum, noting that Kazakh women who have achieved significant success in different countries, as well as international experts, would take part in its work.
Akmаral Amerkulova, Head of the “Shanyrak” Kazakh Society in Belgium, introduced the organization’s initiatives, including Kazakh language and literature lessons, dombra classes, and national dance groups.
Kamshat Demeuova, a representative of the Kazakh community in The Hague (Netherlands), spoke about the activities of their newly formed society. The community gathers during holidays and organizes various events. At the recent Nauryz celebration, around 200 people attended, including guests from neighboring countries. Despite not being officially registered yet, the society’s events are held on a large scale.
Bayan Nyshan, Head of the Kazakh diaspora in Malaysia, announced plans for a joint cultural project between Kazakhstan and Malaysia. As part of this initiative, the “Alatau” Traditional art theater, together with the Malaysian art University “ASWARA,” will stage Kazakh folk tales in the shadow theater format.
