22 August 2025

Our kandas in Uzbekistan, young researcher and journalist Guldana Narynbet, became a prizewinner of the Navoi regional stage of the national contest “The Greatest, the Dearest,” held on the eve of Independence Day to honor leading figures in the media sphere.

At the event in Navoi city, the best representatives of media, press, and cinema were awarded for their contributions to the country’s spiritual life and for addressing pressing social issues. In this prestigious contest, Guldana Narynbet was recognized for her scientific research work — the book “Publicism and Journalistic Mastery in Kazakh-Language Publications of Uzbekistan”, which received high praise from the jury.

In her research, our compatriot examines Kazakh-language newspapers such as “Nurlı Jol,” “Kenimekh Tañy,” “Tamdy Sharuageri,” and “Ushqudyq,” as well as Kazakh-language TV programs, radio broadcasts, and materials published on state websites. She also provides an in-depth analysis of the history of Kazakh-language publications in Jizzakh and Tashkent regions.

This victory is not only Guldana’s personal achievement but also a recognition of the culture and place of the Kazakh diaspora of Uzbekistan in the information space.

We sincerely congratulate Guldana Narynbet! We believe that her work will contribute to the growth of Kazakh journalism and further strengthen cultural ties between the two countries.
