The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with JSC "Center for International Programs," announces the completion of the competitive selection process within the framework of the state scholarship program for foreign citizens, including individuals of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of Kazakhstan, for the 2025–2026 academic year. As a result of the competition, the main list of 550 scholarship recipients has been approved.

It is important to note that this program is not part of the Bolashak program. It has been implemented separately since 2019 and aims to expand international academic partnerships and attract talented young people from abroad to study at leading universities in Kazakhstan.

In 2025, the program allocated:

  • 10 grants – for Doctoral studies;
  • 50 grants – for Master's degree;
  • 490 grants – for Bachelor's degree.

A total of 13,723 applicants from 57 countries participated in the competition. 37 Kazakhstani universities took part in the selection process, offering 2,668 academic programs. The largest number of scholarship recipients will study at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Astana IT University, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, KBTU and other institutions.

This program continues to support the strategic goal of enhancing Kazakhstan’s image as an educational hub in Central Asia.
