From June 23 to 26, the 22nd International Olympiad in Kazakh Language and Literature for schoolchildren of the Kazakh diaspora was held in Pavlodar.
The event took place under the slogan "Kazakhstan – My Ancestral Land, My Sacred Mother Tongue", bringing together 63 participants from China, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Russia.
The Olympiad consisted of three stages, where young participants competed in their knowledge of Kazakh language, literature, and history. In addition to the competition, participants visited various cultural sites of the Pavlodar region.
According to the jury’s decision, winners and runners-up were awarded diplomas of I, II, and III degrees from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, along with gold, silver, and bronze medals and valuable prizes. In total, 31 participants won prizes, and five received certificates of honor for outstanding achievements. On behalf of the Akim of Pavlodar region, each participant received a letter of appreciation and a national musical instrument – the dombra. Moreover, three students were awarded rector's scholarships from the A. Margulan Pavlodar Pedagogical University.
The Olympiad was organized by the National Scientific and Practical Center "Daryn" with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Department of Education of the Pavlodar region.
