Otandastar Qory Delegation Meets with Republican Media Outlets in Uzbekistan
- As part of its working visit in June 2025, a delegation from the Otandastar Qory NJSC visited the editorial office of Nurly Zhol, one of Uzbekistan’s leading republican-level newspapers. The delegation was received by the editor-in-chief, Mr. Ghulamzakir Yessenovich Yusupov.
-
- Nurly Zhol holds the distinction of being the only state-run Kazakh-language newspaper published at the republican level in Uzbekistan. It plays a crucial role in preserving the Kazakh language, strengthening cultural identity, and serving as a reliable source of information for the local Kazakh community. The newspaper is published twice a week, with a circulation of 3,600 copies distributed throughout the country.
-
- During the meeting, the delegation received detailed insights into the structure, editorial focus, readership, and daily operations of the publication. The editor-in-chief emphasized the paper’s importance as a spiritual, cultural, and educational platform for ethnic Kazakhs living in Uzbekistan.
-
- Both sides discussed the potential for collaborative initiatives, content exchange, and joint media projects aimed at supporting Kazakh diaspora communities abroad.
-
- As part of the visit, the delegation also toured the editorial office of Xalq so‘zi / Narodnoe slovo, a major state newspaper in Uzbekistan. There, they met with the executive secretary, Mr. Nurlan Usmanov – a member of the Kazakh diaspora. The meeting focused on establishing bilateral cooperation, promoting diaspora-related topics in the media, and exploring future joint initiatives.
-
- These visits marked an important step in strengthening ties with Kazakh-language and republican-level media in Uzbekistan and expanding the foundation’s international information partnerships.
