At the U22 Asian Boxing Championship held in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, Mongolian Kazakh athlete Moldir Erzhan won the silver medal.
Competing in the 70 kg weight category, Moldir faced Kazakh boxer Baktyk Seidish in the final. In a closely contested bout, Baktyk secured the victory, while Möldir earned a commendable second place.
With this achievement, Möldir Erzhan becomes the first Kazakh girl from Mongolia to win a medal at the Asian Boxing Championship. Previously, she had earned silver and bronze at the national championships.
It's worth noting that her coach, Asqar Nurlan, is also a Mongolian Kazakh and an international-class sports master.
