In honor of the 180th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayuly, a series of cultural and educational events were organized in the Ushkuduk district of Navoi region, Republic of Uzbekistan. These initiatives aimed at celebrating the life and works of the great Kazakh thinker received wide support among the public.

Students from Kazakh schools across the district actively participated in the educational event held at the general education school in the village of Myngbulak. The event was organized by the school staff under the leadership of Principal Yerlan Konarbayev.

The event began with a poetry competition titled "Abai – dana, Abai – dara." In this contest, students recited Abai's poems and prose with great expression, showing their admiration for his work. Performances by students from schools № 1, 2, 4, 11, and 12 were highly praised by the judges.

Winners of the poetry competition:

 • 1st place – Balzhan Oserova, 9th-grade student from school № 11
 • 2nd place – Akerke Aytbayeva (school №11) and Balym Bekmuratova (school №12)
 • 3rd place – Nurshat Kenesbayev (school №11) and Gulnisa Bekmuratova (school №12)

Additionally, the "Child’s Voice" singing contest, aimed at fostering young talents, was well received by the audience. Eight young performers from district schools sang songs dedicated to Abai's legacy and showcased their abilities.

Winners of the singing contest:

 • 1st place – Nurladin Ganiyev, 6th-grade student from school № 1, Kulquduq village
 • 2nd place – Balzhan Oserbayeva and Nurgeldi Akmurzaev (both from school №11)
 • 3rd place – Inkär Zharimbetova (school №2) and Nurbala Kulmanov (school №11)

At the end of the contests, winners and participants received commemorative gifts and certificates of appreciation.

Abai's invaluable legacy is a guiding star of national spirituality. Such meaningful events increase the younger generation's interest in the poet's work and promote national values.
