Quryltay of Asian Kazakhs will take place in Seoul, South Korea, on April 5-6, 2025.
This significant event is organized by Qazaq Nomad Korea organization, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Korea and Otandastar Funda non-commercial organization dedicated to supporting Kazakh diaspora worldwide.
The sponsors are Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), Air Astana, Pana hotels, and ELSYM8.
The event will be attended by compatriots living in South Korea, Malaysia, Japan, China, and other Southeast Asian countries.
In Quryltay the compatriots will discussimportant issues such as development and future plans of Kazakh cultural centers in Asia, and strengthening of cultural and spiritual ties, and opportunities for cooperation in education, science, and entrepreneurship.
The program of Asian KazakhsQuryltay is planned for two days.
The first day of the event will feature a cultural segment with the participation of prominent figures from the arts and cultural sphere, and an economic block featuring Kazakhstanand Korea business professionals.
Speakers of the cultural block:
• Svetlana Aitbayeva – Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, singer;
• Aigerim Musagazhinova – ethnographer, scientist, author of the book “Unique Kazakh Food”;
• Son Young Hoon – professor of the Department of Central Asian Studies at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies;
• Abzal Arykbayev – one of the founders of the ethno-folklore ensemble “Turan”, member of the group “Arkaim”, artistic director of the music application “Qsandyq”;
• Zhubanysh Zheksenuly – musician, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan.
Speakers of the economic block:
• Daniyar Kelbetov – Financial Director of AIFC, Member of the Board;
• Marzhan Kadyrova – representative of Kazakh Center in Malaysia, head of the content moderation group on social networks;
• O Mariya – founder of “Best Medical Korea”, doctor, businessman;
• Junichiro Takahashi (Abdibek Kalibekuly) – Head of Kazakh center in Tokyo, highly qualified doctor;
• Kim Bo Hyung – export specialist, founder of Dari Crew platform;
• Kim Yuri – professional sound and dubbing studio SoftBox.
On the second day, attendees will celebrate Nauryz, enjoy a festival of national games, and experience a concert featuring Kazakh artists.
Bringing together delegates from all over Asia, Quryltay represents a crucial step in preserving and promoting Kazakh cultural values abroad while strengthening ties between the global Kazakh community and their homeland.
