On October 23 of this year, the capital of Austria, Vienna, hosted a vibrant concert by the "Sazgen Sazy" folklore and ethnographic ensemble. The event aimed to promote the cultural heritage of the Republic of Kazakhstan and strengthen the spiritual connection with compatriots living abroad. Approximately 150 guests gathered to experience the centuries-old musical legacy of the Kazakh people and to immerse themselves in its profound spiritual richness.

The opening ceremony featured welcoming remarks by His Excellency Mukhtar Tleuberdi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Austria and Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to International Organizations in Vienna, and Ambassador Gerhard Zeiler, Director of the Department at the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs. In their speeches, they emphasized the importance of cultural dialogue between the two countries and noted that such events help deepen humanitarian ties between Kazakhstan and Austria. Both diplomats highly praised the concert.

The ensemble transported the audience into the atmosphere of the Kazakh steppe, delivering unforgettable emotions through the unique sounds of traditional national instruments. The resonant tones of the dombra touched the hearts of listeners, while the soulful voice of the kobyz conveyed the spirit of ancient times. The delicate melody of the sazsyrnay and the lyrical timbre of the jetigen immersed the audience in the enchanting world of Kazakh music, harmonizing with the rhythms of nature. Kazakh kyuis and songs, interwoven with elements of European classical music, awakened deep emotional responses and a sense of spiritual elevation. The ensemble’s refined performance style and artistic mastery captivated the audience and filled the hall with a special atmosphere.

One of the most memorable moments of the evening was the participation of Onaysha Mandoki, a representative of the Kazakh Cultural Center in Hungary. She expressed her deep love for Kazakh music, congratulated the audience on Republic Day, and shared a heartfelt sense of longing for the spiritual heritage of her ancestors.

Artistic Director Bagdat Tilegenov took the stage to speak about the ensemble’s mission to promote Kazakhstan’s musical heritage abroad and outlined its future plans.
