On September 13, 2024, the large-scale Otandastar business forum took place in Almaty, organized by the non-profit joint-stock company Otandastar Qory under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event, aimed at strengthening business ties between compatriot entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan and abroad, gathered over 150 participants from Kazakhstan and more than 50 entrepreneurs from 12 countries.

Representatives from the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, JSC Kazakh Invest, the Center for Trade Policy Development QazTrade, and the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund participated in the forum, presenting current programs for business support and development, as well as opportunities for establishing and running businesses in Kazakhstan.

During the first plenary session, founders of leading domestic companies — DAMU BUSINESS GROUP, TAS FINANCE GROUP, Steppe & World, Hazifa, and Kazakh Aru — shared their business experiences and discussed development pathways and prospects for various industries in the country.

The second session served as a platform for presentations by Kandas entrepreneurs from abroad. Participants showcased their projects, exchanged experiences, and established new partnerships, opening up broad opportunities for international cooperation.

The event also focused on familiarizing attendees with Kazakhstan's economic programs and investment opportunities, as well as discussing legislative support for foreign entrepreneurs. Special attention was given to preserving cultural and humanitarian values and strengthening national identity within the business environment.

In the final part of the forum, President of the Otandastar Qory Daniyar Kadyrov proposed the creation of a Council of Compatriot Entrepreneurs Abroad and in Kazakhstan. This initiative aims to enhance the business activity of Kazakhstani entrepreneurs worldwide and support projects that contribute to the preservation of cultural heritage.

The Otandastar Business Forum reaffirmed its significance as a key platform for uniting entrepreneurs and strengthening business ties, opening new horizons for joint development and prosperity.
