An Agreement between Kazakhstan and Qatar on the regulation of employment for Kazakhstanis has been signed

As a result of negotiations between the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, an Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the State of Qatar on the regulation of employment for Kazakh workers has been signed.
The Agreement aims to protect the labor and social rights of Kazakhstanis working or planning to work in Qatar. It includes organizational and legal conditions that create the necessary conditions for employment and the protection of the rights of workers from Kazakhstan.

Under the agreement, Kazakhstanis are provided with the opportunity for legal employment based on employer requests in Qatar. A Joint Committee between Kazakhstan and Qatar will be established to coordinate actions, attract qualified workers, and resolve labor disputes.

The signing of this agreement was carried out in accordance with the action plan for the implementation of the Migration Policy Concept of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023-2027. The agreement requires further ratification in accordance with national procedures.
