The creative association Kazakh animation at the Kazakhfilm studio has completed work on the animation project ‘Tokash pen Bakash’, which includes 13 episodes. The project will be presented to the audience this year.

With the support of the State Centre for Support of National Cinema, a short animated film ‘Ymit Yardaiym Zhanymyzda’ and a full-length animated film ‘Altyn Adam’ will also be released.

In 2024, classic works of Kazakh animation were updated in a modern format: ‘Aksak Kulan’, ‘Akyil Men Bailyk’, ‘Karlygashtyң kuyrygygygygy nege ayyr’.

In addition, Hollywood studios have released in wide distribution dubbed in Kazakh language films ‘Ojumbak 2’, ‘Ugly I 4’, ‘Moana 2’, ‘Mufasa: Arystan Patsha’ and ‘Wild Robot’.

The Kinopoisk platform translated the animated film Garfield into Kazakh and presented it online, while Bee TV released The Magical Adventure of Da Vinci.

The new animation projects that will receive state support will focus on the themes of national values, respect for parents, Kazakh fairy tales, friendship and sports.

In order to further develop Kazakh animation, a special strategy will be launched this year and work will continue to improve it.
