The project is being implemented as a result of agreements reached between the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron.
A formal capsule-laying ceremony for the Kazakh-French school was held today in the capital. The event was attended by the Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gani Beisembayev, and the French Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and French Citizens Abroad, Laurent Saint-Martin.
The boarding school is designed to accommodate 800 students and will comply with the national mandatory education standards of Kazakhstan. It will be open to students from all regions of the country.
In his address, Minister of Education Gani Beisembayev emphasized that the project represents a significant milestone in the field of education.
“This is a symbol of deepening cooperation between Kazakhstan and France in the educational sphere. We believe that the school will serve as a model both architecturally and academically, and will become a true bridge between our nations,” the Minister stated.
The future school, which is expected to become one of the region’s leading international educational institutions in Central Asia, is scheduled to open on 1 September 2026. Additionally, a Kazakh-French school is planned to be established in Almaty.
