The Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University and the University of Sussex enter into a long-term strategic partnership, opening up new opportunities for master's and doctoral students in Kazakhstan.
Representatives of the renowned British university have specially arrived in Almaty for negotiations, and the delegation from Great Britain was met by the rector of the Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University Gulmira Kanai. The duration of the visit will be 3 days, during which the parties will discuss the launch of double-diploma master's and doctoral programmes.
This strategic partnership between the Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University and the University of Sussex will provide students with the opportunity to obtain a British degree without leaving Kazakhstan.
The dual-diploma programmes will allow students to earn degrees from both universities simultaneously, significantly enhancing their academic and professional prospects.
The partnership will also see the implementation of an international lateral entry programme, PGCE in Pedagogy and Practice, which will provide students with the opportunity to gain further education and qualifications in pedagogy.
One important aspect of this strategic partnership is the establishment of a centre of excellence for professors and teachers. The centre will contribute to the development of professional skills of teachers and improve the quality of education in Kazakhstan.
It should be reminded that last summer a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University and the University of Sussex, within the framework of which 15 teachers and doctoral students successfully completed a professional development programme in Great Britain.
