In order to further improve the procedure for issuing and extending permits to labor immigrants, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan has developed amendments to the Rules for issuing, extending and revoking permits to labor immigrants (hereinafter referred to as the Rules). The draft order is posted on the Open Legal Entities portal for public discussion until July 3 of this year.

The document provides for the provision of public services through the e-government portal, as well as through the migration.enbek.kz platform. It is also proposed to introduce a notification mechanism when a labor immigrant changes employer.

The countries whose citizens will be able to obtain permits to work in the household are indicated.

The amounts of payment of individual income tax in accordance with the Tax Code are specified.

The mechanism for issuing permits to labor immigrants for a period of up to 12 months has been simplified, and the grounds for refusal to issue and extend permits have been determined.
