Within the framework of the Bett Show 2026 international exhibition, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, conducted a series of strategic meetings with the leadership and representatives of the world's leading technology corporations, including Lenovo, Intel, Microsoft, and Google.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed the prospects for integrating advanced digital solutions, artificial intelligence technologies, and innovative educational platforms into Kazakhstan’s system of higher and postgraduate education. Particular emphasis was placed on the development of digital competencies among students and faculty, the training of highly qualified specialists for high-tech economic sectors, and the comprehensive modernisation of educational infrastructure.
The parties also considered opportunities for implementing joint projects involving Kazakhstani universities. These include the integration of artificial intelligence tools into educational and research processes, the development of digital ecosystems within higher education institutions, support for startup initiatives, and the expansion of cooperation between the academic community and technology companies. The importance of practice-oriented interaction aimed at forming competitive specialists in demand on the global labour market was underscored.
Furthermore, within the framework of the exhibition, the Minister gave an interview to the official Bett Show 2026 media platform, in which he outlined the key priorities of Kazakhstan’s state policy in the fields of education, science, and digital transformation. The interview highlighted strategic objectives for the development of artificial intelligence, the digitalisation of educational processes, the strengthening of international cooperation, and the creation of a sustainable innovation ecosystem in the country.
The meetings confirmed the high level of interest from the world's leading technology companies in cooperating with Kazakhstan and emphasised the country’s commitment to active integration into the global educational and technological space.
