From January 1 to July 31, information points in Almaty provided consultations to 8,339 tourists, reflecting sustained interest in and popularity of the city among international visitors. This figure includes tourists from various parts of the world who sought information on cultural landmarks, excursions, and the city’s infrastructure.
The network of information points comprises nine visitor centres located in key areas of the city, ranging from the international airport to popular tourist zones.
The distribution of tourist visits across the visitor centres was as follows:
40.1% – Almaty International Airport
19% – Medeu
9% – Kok-Tobe
8.7% – Zenkov Street location
5.6% – Ospanov Street location
4.9% – Panfilov Street location

2.1% – Abay–Baitursynov location
Each visitor centre provides tourists with essential information for a comfortable stay, including city maps, route recommendations, details of cultural events and local attractions, as well as consultations in three languages.
Visitor centres play an important role in travel experiences by offering timely and accurate information, saving tourists the effort of online searches, and helping them navigate the city more easily. This is especially valuable for independent travellers, small groups, and those unfamiliar with the city.
Since the beginning of 2025, Almaty has seen steady growth in tourist interest, with visitor centres playing a key role in efficiently managing tourist flows, enhancing visitor satisfaction, and contributing to the city’s positive image.
Nationwide, there are currently 28 visitor centres in operation, seven of which are located in national parks. Detailed information on each of them will be shared in the near future.
