This year, 966 Kandases moved to the Kostanay region, which is three and a half times higher than the established quota. Ninety percent of them settled in the city of Rudny. Representatives of the Otandastar Qory under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visited this city and acquainted themselves with the lives of compatriots who joined the ranks of local residents.
Gulsina Kalmyrzayeva, who moved to Rudny from Uzbekistan, is a doctor with higher education. For some time, she worked at a local hospital and later decided to open a personal ENT office. To equip it, the state provided gratuitous subsidies amounting to 5 and 6 million tenge. The entrepreneur emphasizes that in Kazakhstan, everyone has the opportunity to start their own business.
Gulsina Kalmyrzayeva, individual entrepreneur:
In our state, many opportunities have been created for individuals who want to develop and improve their businesses. It's true. Personally, I have experienced this from my own experience. I received assistance from the state to promote my business.
The Kandas who settled in the mining town work in various fields. Many are engaged in private entrepreneurship. One opened a sewing workshop, another developed camel farming, providing the region with camel milk and fur coats. However, it cannot be said that there are no problems at all.
Yerkebulan Menlibayev, Deputy Director of the Department of Support of Compatriots at the Otandastar Qory:
We mainly receive inquiries related to documentation issues. Most often, questions about obtaining citizenship and a residence permit arise. Applicants may experience delays in receiving responses to their applications during the quota collection and document submission processes.
The state is making efforts to create optimal conditions for the rapid adaptation and integration of compatriots who have returned to their historical homeland. The period for obtaining citizenship has been reduced from six to three months. This year, the issuance of a mobility certificate for housing construction or purchase has begun. Additionally, both local akimats and entrepreneurs are ready to provide assistance and support.
Mukhametkaliyev Rinat, Deputy Akim of the region:
Not far from the city of Rudny are the districts of Beimbet Mailin and Denisov. For example, the akim of the Denisovsky district expresses readiness to buy up to ten houses for those who want to move, including Kandasov, because there is a Kazakh school for 300 places in their area.
This month, the regional quota allocated to the Kandas of the Kostanay region has been increased by 72 units, with almost half of them allocated to the city of Rudny.
