Recently, in the city of Barnaul, Altai Territory, a remarkable concert featuring the Academic Orchestra of National Instruments named after Tattimbet of the Karaganda Region, "Uly Dala Sazy," took place. The orchestra, having toured in more than 40 countries, made its debut performance in Barnaul under the auspices of the Otandastar Foundation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
Contributing to the success of the concert was the Kazakh National Autonomy of the Altai Territory. Murat Bekmuratov, the head of the autonomy, emphasized how national melodies awaken the spirit of ancestors.
At the conclusion of the hour-and-a-half concert, the audience joined in singing the song “Atameken.” Members of the Academic Orchestra named after Tattimbet received a warm welcome from the Governor of the Altai Territory, Viktor Tomenko, the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Altai Territory, Alexander Alekseevich Romanenko, the Mayor of Barnaul, Vyacheslav Genrikhovich Frank, and the Chairman of the Barnaul City Duma, Galina Aleksandrovna Buevich, who presented special bouquets of flowers.
Members of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Galiaskar Sarybaev and Bolat Kerimbek, as well as representatives of the intelligentsia, including writers Bota Baman, Zhadi Shakenovich, Kadirbek Kunypievich, and journalist Auyt Mukibekovich, engaged with local residents and listened to their proposals.
In his closing remarks, President of the Otandastar Foundation, Abzal Saparbekuly, highlighted the high level of cultural and humanitarian ties between Kazakhstan and Russia, expressing confidence that the concert would positively impact the friendly relations between the peoples. The Otandastar Foundation, as the official institution responsible for working with ethnic Kazakhs and former compatriots, plays a crucial role in fostering connections with those who once lived in Kazakhstan and later returned to their historical homeland.
Abzal Saparbekuly also honored Murat Bekmuratov, the head of the Kazakh National Autonomy of the Altai Territory, with a badge and a Letter of Gratitude from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhumart Kemelevich Tokayev. Additionally, several active citizens, including Zhanat Myrzakhmetovich, Zhanar Suleimenova, Bakytzhan Soltangazinova, and Aida Ruslanovna Beksultanova, were awarded a Letter of Gratitude from the Otandastar Foundation and a commemorative medal “Algys.”
